United!

When we were developing a theme for our mission trip to Puerto Rico we decided to use Ephesians 4:4 as our key verse, “There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called.” We wanted to feel united with our partners in Puerto Rico. Tonight, we had the opportunity to sing at an outdoor event where eight churches came together for a time of praise and worship and to hear an evangelistic message from one of the pastors. The event showed the unity that we have in Jesus Christ when we all work together for His glory. It was a huge success with probably 300- 400 people in attendance. It was a great night!

Earlier in the day we had some rain showers and some windy conditions. We were a little concerned about the weather and how that would impact our event. Well, it didn’t rain on our event. As a matter of fact, the weather could not have been any better. We didn’t have any rain and we had a cool breeze that blew through in time for the concert. Then, wouldn’t you know it? It started raining when we were walking back to our vans after the concert was over. God gave us a perfect night!

Our morning was another full day of music camp activities. The children are learning so much and are having a great time. On Friday night, we will hold a “gala” which is a night for the children to perform the things they have been learning. Parents will have an opportunity to see their children perform. Please pray for the children as they prepare for this important evening.

Thank you again for your prayers. God is listening and He is answering.
